Who says you can’t go home again?
The Jets are trading Mecole Hardman back to the Chiefs, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
Hardman, who has not been used much by the Jets this season, was reportedly traded along with a 2025 seventh-round pick, with the Chiefs sending back a 2025 sixth-rounder.
Hardman had signed with the Jets this past offseason on a one-year deal worth up to $6.5 million.
The wideout had just one catch for 6 yards for Gang Green.
Last week, Hardman acknowledged he’d be open to a trade.
“If it works for both sides,” Hardman said after reporters asked if him if he’d welcome a trade.
“That’s above me. The first time I heard [about it] was yesterday or two days ago, whenever [the news] broke, so that was the first time I’m hearing it.”
Hardman spent his first four NFL seasons with the Chiefs, catching 25 balls for 297 yards and four touchdowns last year.
