Adults are lovin’ it.
McDonald’s is collaborating with Crocs on a new Happy Meal that’s grabbing plenty of grownup attention — even though it’s supposedly aimed at kids.
Instagram food news account @snackolator shared that the Crocs Happy Meal will include “Exclusive Croc Clips,” which are mini keychains in the shape of the iconic rubber clogs.
The meal will come in a Croc-branded Happy Meal box, and the Crocs Clips come with their own packaging and themed stickers.
“These are currently out in a handful of countries and they have 10 total and each one comes in the cutest little Crocs box,” the post said.
Though they clarified that “a big disclaimer that it’s possible the designs (and number) could differ in the US, but the Happy Meal is definitely coming to the USA.”
Moms and dads and other adults in the comment section were excited to see the two brands come together — saying they can’t wait to get their hands on one of the unexpected combos.
“Yessss. Do we know what countries yet?” one excited customer asked.
“When you get your extra crispy Coke, you can get a mini Croc on the side,” another noted.
“I know someone who will be getting Happy Meals to get some Croc keychains,” someone wrote.
“Me an adult who buys happy meals,” one commented.
“I love it! I was hoping we’d get these. It’ll go well with my Croc hand sanitizer holder from Bath and Body Works,” another shared.
However, others noted that McDonald’s failed to take their main target into consideration — children.
“I’d be sad as a kid to receive this,” one person wrote. “I miss when they used to give actual toys like those electronic game ones.”
“What the heck happened to the actual toys I got a lot when I was younger,” one Debbie Downer noted. “I really miss those — why does stuff have to keep going away and being replaced by garbage.”
“That’s just sad! Remember when Mickey Ds had cooler Happy Meal toys?” another remembered.
The Crocs Happy Meal is currently available in a handful of international markets. It’s unclear exactly when the debut will drop in the US.
