D’Angelo Russell went all out for his proposal to model girlfriend Laura Ivaniukas.
The couple shared photos on Instagram this week from the moment they got engaged, a beach proposal that featured a large standing heart made of roses, a circle of even more roses and sparklers.
“Ms to Mrs.. Loading,” Ivaniukas wrote in a joint post with her new fiancé.
Ivaniukas showed off her big diamond ring as the couple celebrated with their two children, 3-year-old son Riley and 1-year-old daughter Mila Rose.
The two went public with their relationship in 2020 after previously meeting at New York Fashion Week, according to People.
As the future Mr. and Mrs. start a new chapter off the court, the 29-year-old Russell is beginning anew in his career, too.
After a second stint with the Nets last season following a December trade from the Lakers, the guard signed a two-year, $13 million contract with the Mavericks.
The former Brooklyn All-Star averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 assists in 58 games last season.
He joins a Mavericks team in turmoil after the fierce fan backlash to last season’s Luka Doncic trade.
Anthony Davis, the centerpiece of the return for Doncic, got injured in his first game with Dallas and missed over a month.
By the time Davis returned, Kyrie Irving was already sidelined for the season with a torn ACL, which will keep him out for the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
However, after getting eliminated in the play-in tournament a year removed from reaching the NBA Finals with Doncic, the Mavericks won the draft lottery and selected the highly touted Duke prospect Cooper Flagg No. 1 overall.
