This is the one about Matthew Perry’s “Friends” sweater heading to auction.

Props and costumes from the beloved sitcom are going under the hammer Sept. 23 to commemorate the show’s 30th anniversary.

The most-watched item up for bid is a cashmere sweater doomed actor Perry wore portraying Chandler Bing.

“The teal, 100% cashmere, polo-style sweater features long sleeves and a two-button
front closure. Labeled ‘Autumn Cashmere. Size L.'” reads the lot description. Julien's Auctions

The pre-sale value was $1,500, but that should skyrocket in the wake of Perry’s Oct. 28, overdose death in Los Angeles and the arrest of his physician and drug dealer earlier in August.

Replicas of the orange couch from Central Perk coffeehouse are valued at $2,000 to $3,000. Julien's Auctions

“Chandler can be seen wearing the sweater in Season 7, Episode 10 titled ‘The One With The Holiday Armadillo,’ in a scene at Central Perk where Monica informs him she won’t be changing her last name to Bing,” said Julien’s Auctions, which is staging the sale. “Then again when Phoebe brings her late mother’s Christmas candy dish — a human skull — for the gang’s holiday party.”

“Each item in this 30th anniversary collection is a tangible connection to the magic of ‘Friends,’ one of the most beloved shows in TV history that shaped a generation and made us laugh, cry, and feel like we were part of the ‘Friends’ gang,” said Darren Julien, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Julien’s Auctions.
