Martha Stewart brought her granddaughter, Jude, to the opening of a Broadway play Thursday for a fun night out together in the Big Apple.
The Martha Stewart Living founder, 81, and her 12-year-old look-alike posed for the cameras on the red carpet at the “Life of Pi” premiere.
The event was held at the Schoenfeld Theatre in the Theater District of Manhattan.
Stewart dressed casually with a white button-down shirt underneath a dark sweater, a pair of black slacks and matching shoes.
Meanwhile, Jude glammed it up a bit more for the occasion, wearing a sparkly dress and knee-high black boots.
The opening was a rare sighting for the grandmother-granddaughter duo, who do not make frequent red carpet appearances together.
Both appeared to be having a good time at the public event, though, as they flashed big smiles for photographers during the outing.
Jude is Stewart’s firstborn grandchild. The lifestyle maven’s only daughter, Alexis Stewart, welcomed the now-preteen in March 2011.
“I am just thrilled that Alexis’ greatest wish has been fulfilled,” Martha told Page Six exclusively at the time.
Alexis had Jude via a gestational surrogate after several unsuccessful in-vitro procedures.
The radio host previously shared on her show, “Whatever with Alexis & Jennifer,” that she chose the name Jude for her daughter after speaking with her colleague “Rude” Jude Anthony Angelini.
“I think, like, four years ago we were talking to Rude Jude, and I said I was going to use that name,” Alexis said in 2011.
Jude lives a pretty private life, but her proud grandmother has given small glimpses into who she is over the years.
In 2016, Martha tweeted a photo of her grandkid’s drawing and captioned it, “Granddaughter jude is a budding artist Very detailed.”
The businesswoman also posted a photo of Jude and her brother, Truman, now 11, on Instagram in 2019.
Martha captioned the picture of her blowing out candles on a cake with her grandkids, “And the birthday cake!!! Covered in freshly whipped cream Layered inside in this order: meringue, dark cherry ice cream , pistachio ice cream, and dark chocolate with chocolate chunks In that order .”
The legendary homemaker added, “Homemade of course!”
