Drew Barrymore and Martha Stewart addressed their alleged “beef” on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.

Rumors began when Stewart last appeared on Barrymore’s eponymous daytime talk show in November 2024. Barrymore, who is known to get up close and personal with her guests, began petting Stewart’s back in the episode, forcing the cookbook author to push the host away as cheekily she told her, “You’re the wrong gender.”

This morning, Stewart made her first appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show since the awkward incident occurred, and Barrymore wasted no time asking her about it.

“People thought that we had beef or you had beef with me over that and I didn’t get it. I was so surprised,” Barrymore said, to which Stewart replied, “No. I just don’t like to be petted … on television.”

Stewart continued, “Do not pet me. I watch your show and you pet a lot of people. She’s a very cozy girl. I’m not so cozy.”

Like the good sport she is, Barrymore let Stewart’s comments roll off her back as she continued to gush over her guest. “It’s certainly not putting anyone off or turning them away because we’re all on the Martha Stewart feeder,” she said. “It’s true. I think you’ve given people a lot of confidence in life through maintaining true to yourself. That’s been a very guiding light for us.”

While looking back on an old photo of Stewart, Barrymore made sure to keep her distance before complimenting the lifestyle guru.

“I’m gonna sit all the way on the other side of the couch so you don’t think I’m coming onto you but man, Martha, you are hot,” she said. “Like, you are so beautiful.”

It looks like someone learned their lesson!
