Fox Sports had to move quickly to find Mark Sanchez’s replacement to broadcast Sunday’s game after the former Jets quarterback was stabbed and later arrested in Indianapolis.

Fox tabbed Brady Quinn, who is a college football analyst for the network, to commentate the Week 5 matchup between the Colts and Raiders, according to Front Office Sports.

Quinn, 40, spent four seasons as a quarterback in the NFL before moving to broadcasting in 2019.

While mainly appearing on Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff,” as an analyst, Quinn is also occasionally a color commentator for NFL games, along with serving as co-host of “Blitz” on Sirius XM Radio.

The news of Quinn filling in on Sunday comes hours after Sanchez was part of a shocking incident at an Indianapolis bar.

Sanchez, 38, was charged after allegedly getting into a violent brawl with a 69-year-old delivery driver who stabbed the ex-Jets quarterback’s chest and claimed self defense.

The fight occurred outside of Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery and started when Sanchez told the driver to move his car, according to FOX59/CBS4.

The driver told police that Sanchez was aggressive, prompting the worker to stab him after using pepper spray was unsuccessful, the outlet reported.

Police said Sanchez was taken to a nearby hospital before being charged with misdemeanor counts of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support,” Fox Sports said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”

Officials said that the driver, who has not been identified publicly, also suffered “significant injuries” from the altercation.

Sanchez was reportedly uncooperative with officers responding to the incident, which occurred just after midnight, and had to undergo surgery for his stab wounds before his condition was upgraded to stable.
