NextImg:Mark Consuelos Shocks Kelly Ripa With Advice to Tom Sandoval on How to Cheat Properly: “Never Record Yourself With the Mistress”

More On:

Kelly Ripa

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos nearly made it through Scandoval unscathed — but after the married couple watched the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 finale and Part 1 of the reunion, they decided to devote more than 15 minutes of this morning’s episode of Live to the topic.

The co-hosting couple — who has never seen Vanderpump Rules aside from the most recent two episodes — offered their opinions on Tom Sandoval‘s earth-shattering affair with his longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix‘s close friend Raquel Leviss.

Consuelos — who was clearly a dog back in his day as he previously admitted to not being good in relationships — went on to explain Sandoval’s “rookie mistakes” when it came to cheating on his girlfriend.

“One of the people on this reality show was dating this girl for nine years and he had an affair with her best friend,” he told the booing audience. “Right there you know that’s bad. There’s so many other women to have affairs with. Tom, rookie mistake, dude.”

Consuelos continued, “Never ever ever the sister. And then a close second? Never ever the best friend. And those can probably go either way.”

He added that Sandoval’s “third rookie mistake” came with the way Madix found out of the affair — which happened when his phone fell out of his pocket during one of his band’s gigs. When Madix retrieved the phone, she found graphic evidence of his relationship with Leviss.

“Rookie, rookie mistake. Never record yourself with the mistress,” Consuelos said, to which a shocked Ripa announced, “Ladies, do you realize that I’m getting such a window in who Mark Consuelos is?”

The Riverdale star assured the audience (and his wife) that it’s not who he is — though it’s “who a male should be.”

Before they moved on from the segment, Consuelos gave one last piece of advice to Sandoval — whom he admitted to feeling “bad” for, that is, until he began “violently crying” in “every scene.”

“You can’t start crying a lot. You gotta stop. You get one cry,” he said.

Live with Kelly and Mark airs on weekdays at 9/8c on ABC. Plus, Part 2 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion airs tonight at 9/8c on Bravo.
