Live with Kelly and Mark‘s very own Mark Consuelos might have bested contestant Tabitha Blumen on Thursday morning‘s (Feb. 1) round of “Stump Mark,” but he was ultimately stumped by something seemingly simple: how to pronounce her first name.

“Let’s say ‘hello’ to Ta-bath-a Blumen,” Consuelos announced in a clip that was later posted to Live with Kelly and Mark‘s Instagram reel.

While Consuelos was unfazed by his mispronunciation, his wife and co-host Kelly Ripa immediately asked, “Tabitha?”

Confused by why Ripa interjected, Consuelos began, “Tab-bath— what did I say?”

After Ripa repeated his butchered pronunciation of “Tabitha,” Consuelos was met with laughter from the audience, as he chuckled and buried his face in his paper on their host desk.

For those unfamiliar with Live‘s daily trivia game, “Stump Mark” involves a lucky viewer calling in to give Consuelos two statements, one of which is true and one of which is false. Consuelos has sixty seconds to guess which one is true, and if he is “stumped,” the caller is awarded two pieces of coveted Live memorabilia: a mug and a special “I Stumped Mark” t-shirt.

The best part of Thursday morning’s segment was that unlike previous “Stump Mark” contestants, who call in from elsewhere, Blumen was seated right in Live‘s studio audience. Consuelos and Ripa were only clued in when they heard Blumen’s phone ringing from inside the studio.

Once the cameras panned to Blumen answering her phone, Consuelos exclaimed, “It’s you!”

Blumen, who is from Washington, Penn., and like previous contestants was “randomly” selected, told Ripa and Consuelos that she happened to be “walking to the show from [her] hotel this morning when [she] got the call.”

“And they’re like, ‘This is a first,'” she told the Live co-hosts, referring to the producers’ reaction over the phone. “And I’m like, ‘This is a first for me, too!’ This is our first time at the show.”

Nonetheless, this is not Consuelos’ first silly “Stump Mark” slip-up. Last December, he mistakenly told a contestant that if he stumped them, “it’s gonna be Kelly’s fart” instead of “Kelly’s fault.”

Live with Kelly and Mark airs on weekdays. Check out their website for your local listings.
