The Yankees have added an arm to their rotation, agreeing with right-handed pitcher Marcus Stroman on a two-year deal, averaging $18.5 million per year, that’s pending a physical, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported.
Stroman broke the development with a pair of photos on Instagram, with one an old picture and another with Stroman’s jersey and hat edited to reflect Yankees gear.
“I’m a New York Yankee,” he wrote in his Instagram Story.
The Long Island native spent two seasons pitching for the Mets and most recently made the All-Star Game with the Cubs in 2023.
In 2023, Stroman went 10-9 with a 3.95 ERA across 25 starts with the Cubs.
Stroman joins a rotation that already includes Gerritt Cole, Carlos Rodon, Nestor Cortes, among others — and the Yankees may still add another piece.
The Bombers are still likely to continue their pursuit of free agent Blake Snell and White Sox hurler Dylan Cease via trade, according to Sherman.
