NextImg:Man’s wild tattoo prank leaves wife in tears: ‘I had to do it’

Tatt’s amore?

An Australian man has reduced his wife to tears after having an unflattering image of her face inked on his body as a gag.

Jarrod Grove, 28, told Caters News that he and wife Tegan, 30, are constantly pranking one another, so he decided to up the ante by heading to a local tattoo parlor.

Grove said his spouse particularly loathed a photo of herself with her chin jutting out and her eyes rolling back in her head — so he asked the artists to replicate that exact same image.

“The fact that she hated the photo of her pulling this face so much, I just had to get it tattooed,” Grove said of the pictorial prank.

“She hates the face that she pulls but I love it,” the cheeky Aussie added, saying he got tattoo done during a single eight-hour procedure.

Grove, who works in sales, told Caters that he wasn’t sure how the funny face tattoo would be received.

“I could not wait to come home and see Tegan’s reaction,” he stated, “I knew it would go one of two ways, either we would laugh together or I’d never see this girl ever again.”

The ink initially received a mixed reaction from Tegan, with Grove recalling: “She cried a lot at first, then laughed a lot, and then cried again while googling laser companies.”

Thankfully, Tegan has since come to see the funny side of her unflattering portrait.

“In the end, she just threw her hands up and laughed it off. I guess I’m lucky she has a decent sense of humor,” Grove gushed.

The inked-up Aussie said that others have been “very supportive of the tattoo.”

“I’ve had some people asking what would happen if we got a divorce, and I guess I’d get laser,” said Grove. “However, our relationship is so tight, that wouldn’t happen.”

“She’s my soul mate and nothing will change as long as we are laughing,” he continued.

It’s yet unclear if Tegan plans to prank her husband back in a similar way — a tit for tat, if you will.

This isn’t the first time a husband has trolled their soulmate in tattoo form. In 2019, a UK man skewered his unsuspecting soulmate with an unflattering thigh tattoo that depicted her snoring on a plane.
