A man was found dead on the street an oceanfront Long Island village recently hailed as “the new Hamptons.”

Nassau County cops discovered the body in East Atlantic Beach on Saturday at around 5:30 a.m., the police department said.

The officers had been responding to a 911 call for an unresponsive man at the intersection of Buffalo Avenue and Beech Street, police said.

The man, who has not been publicly identified, was pronounced dead on the street by a Nassau County Police Medic. 

The mysterious circumstances surrounding his death remained under investigation Monday. 

“They’re trying to figure out what exactly happened and where he came from,” local resident Brandon Rosenblatt told News 12 Long Island.

“It’s a very quiet neighborhood. It’s the first time anything’s ever happened here.”

Atlantic Beach, with a population of less than 1,800, is located just an hour away from New York City and has been eyed by Wall Street financiers as a more accessible weekend getaway spot — with all the perks of the Hamptons, The Post recently reported.

The village is home to 10 waterfront beach clubs — but otherwise has a small town atmosphere with only three restaurants, three delis, two bars, a newly opened café and boutique, a boardwalk and a post office.
