Mama June’s daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s cancer battle is taking a toll on her hair.
In photos obtained by TMZ, Anna’s hair loss is apparent as she goes through chemotherapy to fight her stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
Family sources told the outlet that Anna recently underwent her first treatment, which already caused her hair to fall out in “chunks.”
Despite the hair loss and stunning diagnosis — she has adrenal carcinoma cancer that has metastasized to her lungs, kidney and liver — Anna is said to have a “positive outlook.”
The former reality star, 28, already has made changes to her diet by focusing on protein and cutting out sugar; however, the insiders told the outlet that she struggles with eating because of numbness on her tongue.
A mom of two, Anna had to quit her job as a car salesperson so she could focus all of her energy on her recovery.
Anna’s rep didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
On Thursday, Anna’s youngest sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson confirmed reports that Anna had been secretly battling cancer.
“& this is what I mean when I say you never truly know what somebody is going through at home. no matter how famous they are,” the former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star, 17, wrote on her Instagram Stories.
“yes, I’m very famous but normal sh–t happens to me and my family & y’all need to realize that asap.”
Anna received her diagnosis in January after undergoing tests for severe stomach pain.
A source added that her relatives have stepped up to help with her daughters, Kaitlyn, 10, and Kylee, 7, the latter of whom she shares with ex-husband Michael Cardwell.
Since the news of her health battle broke fans have flooded Anna’s Instagram posts with prayers for her recovery.
“My love and prayers to you and your family ❤️ God is so good just stay strong,” wrote one follower.
“I’m so sorry to hear the news Anna. You can beat this tho! I just beat stage 4 cancer at the age of 17, if I can do this so can you!!!! It’ll be a long road but your [sic] a fighter!” commented another.
