Pistons star Malik Beasley’s wife filed for legal separation from the hooper a day before the couple would’ve celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary.

Montana Yao made the legal filing in Los Angeles on Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, according to multiple reports.

This is the second time Yao has moved to end their marriage.

Beasley, 28, and Yao met in 2019 and got married on March 5, 2020.

But just nine months, later Yao moved to file for divorce after the NBA player was spotted holding hands with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Bulls star Scottie Pippen.

Yao was caught off guard by the pictures that surfaced that year and ranted against her husband in posts on her Instagram story, according to People

“Wow… I don’t even know this man…” Yao posted on the social media platform on Dec 1, 2020. “This is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the first time just like y’all.”

The couple eventually reconciled, and in May 2021, Beasley publicly apologized to Yao on social media for putting her in that situation.

“I was looking for more when it was right here that whole time.. I’m telling the world and you that there’s no body like you for me,” he wrote at the time

The couple share two kids, Makai and Mia.

Beasley has averaged 16.6 points with 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the field this season.

The guard was a first-round pick by the Nuggets in 2016 and has also spent time with the Timberwolves, Jazz, Lakers, Bucks and Pistons.
