Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities buy when they’re browsing their favorite boutique or shopping online late at night? Welcome to Six Picks, where we ask stars to spill their style and beauty must-haves — so you can shop like you’re famous, too.
Celebrity makeup artist Ash K Holm has contoured plenty a famous face — and carved out her own niche in Hollywood in the process.
From Kris Jenner’s viral Vogue Arabia cover to Lindsay Lohan’s “Freakier Friday” press tour, the beauty pro’s been on an internet-breaking streak lately — but it all started back in 2015, when she first scored a chance booking with none other than Khloé Kardashian.
“It took time, consistency and building trust to become her go-to, but I was always grateful for that first opportunity,” Holm tells Page Six Style. “Those are the moments that can truly change your career forever.”
She’s worked plenty of life-changing glam gigs in the time since, and learned a lot from the many “powerhouse women” in her makeup chair along the way.

“One lesson I’ll never forget came from Kris Jenner — she doesn’t take no for an answer,” Holm recalls. “If someone tells her no, she’ll say, ‘You’re probably just talking to the wrong person.’ It’s a reminder that the worst anyone can say is no, so why not go for it?”
But while she’s often working with mega-millionaires and billionaires, not everything in Holm’s kit costs a fortune. Below, the beauty pro gives us a glimpse at her go-tos — from her “non-negotiable” brushes to the “Swiss Army knife” of her luxe line-up.

“This is a product I’ve relied on for years. If a client has dry patches or needs an instant skin refresh, this oil preps the canvas beautifully. It nourishes deeply without breaking down the layers of makeup, allowing foundation to glide on and stay put.”

“The Maybelline Super Stay Crayons are my go-to. They’re long-wearing, easy to apply and the shades are just beautiful. The pigment payoff and comfort level make them a must-have in both my personal bag and my pro kit.”

“These are the Swiss Army knife of my kit. They work on eyes, lips, brows — anywhere on the face — and the shade range is extremely inclusive. The formula is creamy enough to blend but long-wearing enough to last an entire red carpet night. They give me complete creative freedom.”

“This product is sculpting perfection. It shapes the face while keeping skin looking real, thanks to its natural finish. I love pairing the contour with the built-in cream highlighter — it adds multidimensional glow and enhances the skin’s natural structure without looking overdone.”

“My Morphe brushes are non-negotiable. The right tools allow me to create with precision and artistry —what would a painter be without their brushes? I’ve built a kit that covers every technique, from seamless blending to ultra-sharp definition. They allow me to translate what’s in my head to what’s on my client’s face flawlessly.”

“Falscara Studio lets me fully customize my clients’ lashes thanks to three trays of different styles, lengths and wisp patterns. I’m never limited to a single look — it’s mix-and-match artistry. Lashes really are the finishing touch to any makeup look, and when done properly, they can take it to the next level of polish and elegance.”
