Madison Keys scored an upset win, and did so in expedient fashion.
The American and No. 17 seed at the U.S. Open knocked out No. 3 Jessica Pegula on the Round of 16 on Monday, needing just two sets for the 6-1, 6-3 victory.

Keys is now set up to face No. 9 Marketa Vondrousova who defeated Peyton Stearns, 6-7 (3), 6-3, 6-2.
Keys is among several high-profile American players making noise in Queens, with 19-year-old Coco Gauff also vying for the U.S. Open title with reigning champ Iga Swiatek out of the mix after her loss to Jelena Ostapenko on Sunday.
