This haven in the Hamptons’ hipper alternative is hot on the market.
Past the Pines, near the eastern edge of the various vacation communities which compose Fire Island, a three-building property is looking for a new owner.
Located on a stretch of the popular Long Island warm weather destination called Water Island, One Atlantic Walk offers an ideal retreat for someone who wants to have some serious separation from society while also maintaining easy access.
While almost all visitors travel to Fire Island by ferries which maintain frequent and regular summer schedules, Water Island guests and residents can only access this stretch of the barrier island via private boat or a ferry service which runs once a day.
How convenient, then, that the one-acre address includes a 25-foot Steiger Craft boat in the sale.
As well, the One Atlantic Walk compound includes a 250-foot private dock at the Great South Bay, which is located at one end of the property, the Atlantic on the other.
“Atlantic Walk is one of the last remaining properties on Fire Island that stretches from the bay to the ocean,” explained associate real estate broker Meg Smith, who shares the $5.1 million Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty listing with agent Nathaniel Larson.
In addition to being bookmarked by beaches, the abode — built in 1970 — also promises permanent seclusion, as it abuts the protected Fire Island National Seashore.
“Knowing that no one can ever build next to you is priceless,” Larson told The Post.
The three homes on the lot are the primary residence, known as the Ocean House, with main bedroom, office, kitchen, dining room and lounge; a pool house with 40-foot pool, gym and a changing room and the Bay House, a two-suite guest residence that also has a breakfast kitchen and its own lounge.
