For the first time in his career, Luis Severino will pitch for a non-New York franchise.

The destination is a surprising one.

The right-hander is signing a three-year, $67 million contract with the Oakland A’s, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed, after spending last season with the Mets.

Severino, 30, is receiving the largest guarantee in Athletics history.

In 31 regular-season starts for the Mets, Severino pitched to a 3.91 ERA with 161 strikeouts in 182 innings.

He then gave up nine runs (six earned) in 16 2/3 playoff innings across three starts.
