Luis Severino’s season might be over.

The Yankees placed Severino on the 15-day IL with a left upper body injury on Saturday following his early exit from Friday night’s start against Milwaukee, the team announced.

Reliever Ron Marinaccio was recalled from Triple-A Scranton in a corresponding move.

Severino, a pending free agent after this season, may have played his last game with the Yankees.

He will be eligible to come off the IL before the season ends, but given the combination of his injury history and terrible season — Friday’s outing saw his ERA go to 6.65 — there may not be an appetite for that.

The former All-Star’s season seemed to hit a nadir on Friday when Brice Turang’s leadoff single in the top of the fifth corresponded with Severino dropping his glove in apparent pain.

After the game, he said he felt “like somebody shot me.”

Though he was once seen as a cornerstone for the Yankees, Severino turns 30 in February and has not appeared in more than 19 regular-season games since 2018.

His effectiveness this season has also taken a dive, with a career-worst ERA that has put his Yankees future at risk.
