Little did Rebecca Hessel Cohen know that after designing the bridesmaid dresses for her wedding in 2010, she’d go on to gain a cult-like following that worships at the altar of all things floral, feminine, and frilled.
The former Cosmopolitan editor launched her NYC-based LoveShackFancy brand in 2013, along with her husband and business partner Todd, 44.
Infused with a vintage-inspired, more-is-more sensibility, the whimsical world of LSF never met a ruffle it didn’t like. Die-hard fans don the label’s frocks to follow Cohen, 41, across the country for ribbon-cutting ceremonies at her 16 US boutiques (plus one in London).
Her daughters, Scarlett, 10, and Stella, 7, inspired Cohen to expand the world of LSF with threads for children and babies, while the family’s fairytale West Village townhouse led to a home line.
More recently, she unveiled a beauty line, complete with perfume bottles that are a literal LSF vibe.
Behold, a few of the ethereal essentials the founder can’t live without.
