Love Is Blind contestant Paul Peden didn’t marry Micah Lussier at the end of the season, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t find love in the pods. The environmental scientist revealed that he connected with another pod flame after breaking things off with his fiancée.
In an interview with E! News, Peden said he connected with contestant Wendi Kong, who is an engineer from Seattle, after Season 4 wrapped.
“There was another girl Wendi, the aerospace engineer. I talked to her a lot. I had an insane connection with her,” he said.
Unfortunately, the relationship between the two didn’t last and Peden said they had too much in common. He explained, “I like myself, but I don’t know if I like myself that much that I want to marry myself. We were really similar.”
During the finale of the Netflix reality hit, Peden turned down Lussier at the altar after she gave him the opportunity to make the first move. He listed a variety of reasons why he didn’t say “I do,” one of which was that he couldn’t picture her as a mother.
Lussier had a string of poor moments on the reality show and was labeled a mean girl, along with contestant Irina Solomonova. Both have since issued apologies for their respective behavior.
The former couple revealed in the reunion episode – which caused crashes on the streamer – that they tried to date after the failed marriage but nothing came of it.
Following the broadcast, Peden told People, “I think we took about a day to cool down after the wedding, and then we pretty much immediately started dating again afterwards. She stayed in Seattle, I think, for a week and a half or two weeks, maybe. And we dated throughout that time, continued talking. I went down to Arizona [in] Scottsdale to see her. And we hung out for a while.”
The contestant said that after he left Arizona, Lussier called it off and said they could “date again later.” The short-lived romance seemed aimless as Peden also stated that he didn’t think they would’ve ever gotten married, but he was “open to the possibility.”
Peden also slammed her behavior on the television show, calling it “hard to watch.”
