A Los Angeles podcaster chased away a burglar lurking outside his home hours after $25,000 worth of gear was stolen from his mobile studio parked in his driveway.

Daniel Lobell confronted the suspect last Thursday when he saw the man trying to wipe his fingerprints off an old bus that Lobell transformed into his mobile podcast studio, according to a report.

The “Modern Day Philosophers” podcast host told KTLA that the same man had raided the studio hours earlier.

“I’m looking down as I’m walking because I’m so upset and I look up and there’s the guy, back two hours later cleaning his fingerprints off,” Lobell told the news station.

“I said to him, ‘I’m going to kill you,’ and I went after him. I tried to grab the trampoline out of the play thing, to use it as a weapon, but I couldn’t get it out.”

According to footage provided to the television station, the burglar quickly scurried off as Lobell ran after him and pushed the kid’s playpen toward him.

The confrontation happened last Thursday hours after the robbery.

“They stole my cameras. They stole my board,” he said. “They stole my switcher. They stole my headphones. They stole my headphone amp, my memory cards…approximately about $25,000 of equipment.”

Video also shows the crook, donning a mask, taking off with bags of equipment during his first stop to the home.

The suspect appears to wipe his fingerprints off the mobile studio.

“I haven’t been able to sleep in days and every little noise, I jump up to protect my family,” he said, adding he’s thankful his loved ones were not harmed.

Lobell said he filed a police report and gave the surveillance video to police.

“I worked my ass off to build this business so that I could stand on my own two feet and do something, a business that I know I’m good at, that I know I can help other people with,” he told KTLA.

He started a fundraising page to buy new equipment.
