Los Angeles was ready to party on Wednesday night.

After the Dodgers won their second World Series in five years with a thrilling 7-6 Game 5 win over the Yankees on the East Coast, the city on the other side of the country went nuts — with fireworks being shot off and fans taking to the streets.

Fox’s broadcast showed at least one traffic-covered part of Los Angeles shooting fireworks in the middle of the street, a scene that seemingly played out in a number of different parts of the city, according to live video and photos.

Police, in videos shared on social media, were seen wearing riot gear in parts of the city as fans descended onto the streets.

In some of the raucous scenes in Los Angeles, fans in their state of exaltation started chanting, “F–k New York, F–k New York!”

One city bus, as captured by a Reuters photo, was seen spray-painted.

The Los Angeles Police Department ordered dispersal orders across multiple intersections in the city, including one right near Dodger Stadium.

“A dispersal order has been issued at Sunset and Vin Scully due to an unlawful assembly. Leave the area immediately and follow all officers orders,” the LAPD wrote on X.

Fans on Douglas Street and Sunset Boulevard, in at least one video on social media, were waving Dodgers flags and honking noise makers.

This came after the LAPD had previously issued a tactical alert, the local Fox affiliate reported.

It’s not clear if any arrests were made.

Things were little more tame at Crypto.com Arena, where Kings fans — watching LA play the Golden Knights — erupted as they were shown the final out on the jumbotron.

Randy Newman’s “I Love LA” blared over the arena’s sound system as fans soaked in the moment.

The Los Angeles Times reported some fans in Los Angeles ventured into little Tokyo near a Shohei Ohtani mural.

Outside Yankee Stadium, the scene was also filled with Dodgers fans, who were dancing near the intersection of River Avenue and 161st Street.

Vice President Kamala Harris, an Oakland native and formerly a U.S. senator representing California, gave her congrats to the Dodgers.

“Congratulations to the 2024 World Series champions, the Los Angeles @Dodgers! Your dominant play this season brought joy to millions of fans around the world — including @SecondGentleman,” she wrote on X.

Douglas Emhoff, the second gentleman, admitted he was giddy as a Dodgers fan.

“Couldn’t be prouder to be a @Dodgers fan. Congrats on becoming World Series champs!” he wrote on X.
