Over a year after Ryan Seacrest departed from Live with Kelly and Ryan, his legacy still lives on, and may always for one particular fan of the show.
On Live with Kelly and Mark this morning, co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos spoke with “Stump Mark” contestant Erin Ballinger from Greenville, South Carolina, who provided the following two statements to attempt to stump Consuelos:
“I host a Bichon Frisé meetup group, or my water broke while watching Live,” Consuelos read aloud.
With respect to her first statement, Ballinger claimed that she and her group would “get together quarterly for doggy playdates,” and that they “typically meet up at a dog park that has a bar attached to it.”
Ripa later joked, “So are the dogs big drinkers, the Bichons?
Ballinger replied, “They love to get down on some H20.”
As for her water breaking, Consuelos asked what year this took place, prior to Ripa chiming in and quipping, “Who’s fault was it?”
Ballinger explained, “Well, it was actually in 2018, and we could blame Ryan Seacrest because it was right when he had finished saying the date, and I was sitting in a puddle.”
Ripa deadpanned, “Yes, whenever he does that.”

Consuelos asked, “Did he say the date every day?”
Ripa joked, “No, but whenever he said the date, he just said it in a way that people’s water would break.”
Consuelos then attempted to deduce which statement of Ballinger’s was the truth.
“2018, yeah, Ryan was here for sure,” he said. “Ok, I’m a dog guy. I like dogs. I love dogs nowadays.”
Ripa asked, “Not a child guy?” to which Consuelos said, “I like childs,” before clarifying with a chuckle, “I like children. But water breaking always freaked me out.”
His wife and co-host confirmed, teasing, “Oh yeah. Oh my gosh, you don’t want to be with Mark when the water breaks.”
Consuelos added that he “didn’t want to hear about it,” and ultimately guessed that Ballinger hosts the Bichon Frisé meetup group.
She gasped and told Consuelos, “I stumped you!”
