NextImg:Lindsay Lohan Dismayed By The “Fire Crotch” Joke In ‘Mean Girls,’ According To Her Publicist

The iconic line may be “You can’t sit with us,” but a particular line in the new movie musical adaptation of Mean Girls is not sitting well with the original 2004 film‘s star.

According to The Messenger, sources reportedly told the outlet that they had heard Lindsay Lohan reveal that she was “surprised and taken aback” by the new film’s line that mentioned “fire crotch.”

Her publicist confirmed these sentiments to various outlets such as Entertainment Weekly and People, sharing the following statement:

“Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film.”

According to HuffPost, the use of “fire crotch” is likely linked to a ruthless rant spewed by Brandon Davis to TMZ in 2006, an oil heir recently married to Ashley Benson, per People. In the video of the rant captured by TMZ, Davis referred to Lohan as “a fire crotch,” as he was followed by friend and heiress Paris Hilton. While Hilton is spotted laughing behind him. However, her publicist told the outlet that “it is unfair to characterize Brandon’s statements as being reflective of Paris’ feelings about Lindsay.”

The line is uttered by none other than Megan Thee Stallion, who appears in the new film as herself. She uses the term while deeming Cady Heron’s (Angourie Rice) Christmas-themed outfit donned during the Plastics’ talent show performance as “Y2K fire crotch vibes,” per EW.

Lohan, who was the first to portray North Shore High’s new student Cady Heron, also makes a brief cameo in the new movie. Tina Fey, not only wrote the original film, co-wrote the new take with Nell Benjamin, and reprised her role as calculus teacher Mrs. Norbury.

Decider reached out to Paramount and Fey’s representative, but did not hear back in time of publication.

Mean Girls is now in theaters. Watch the trailer above.
