Hulk Hogan‘s ex-wife is speaking out after the late pro-wrestler was conspicuously missing from the Emmy Awards “In Memoriam” segment Sunday.

Linda Hogan told TMZ that she believed the snub was “political” due to the conservative beliefs he held late in his life, in which he became an outspoken supporter for President Donald Trump.

Hulk, who passed away in July at the age of 71 from cardiac arrest, was not included in the televised “In Memoriam” tribute during the Emmys broadcast. However, he is featured on the Television Academy website.

She went on to call Hulk the “ratings king” because he drew crowds of viewers to network television and “opened the door for people who were never wrestling fans to become followers.”

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about why it may be conservative bias, Linda also said, “I can’t prove that. It’s just a guess, but they should have named him!!”

Decider reached out to the Television Academy for comment but did not hear back in time of publication.

Linda specifically said his appearance at the 2024 Republican National Convention where he spoke out in support of Donald Trump and J.D. Vance’s campaign may have impacted his chances of being included in the memorial segment.

“WWF at the top of the hour when he came on to wrestle…[Hulk] had the highest ratings on NBC, beating all other competition for that time slot for years!” Linda told EW. “I really can’t tell you why they left him out…just a guess considering the way he was treated at his last appearance in LA.”

Hulk was not the only celebrity left out of the “In Memoriam” segment. Actor Tony Todd, best known for his work in the horror genre, and The Sopranos star Jerry Adler were also notably missing.

The late wrestler was a two-time WWE Hall of Famer with scores of credited roles in projects such as  Rocky IIISuburban Commando, and No Holds Barred.

Hulk also appeared on WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown! as recently as this year.

The 77th annual Emmy Awards are streaming now on Hulu.
