The Liberty can finally call themselves WNBA champions.
The Liberty held off the Lynx, 67-62, for a thrilling overtime win in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals at Barclays Center on Sunday night to claim the first title in their 28-year franchise history.
Jonquel Jones led the Liberty with 17 points while Napheesa Collier paced the Lynx with 22.
Breanna Stewart, who made two free throws late in regulation to send the game to OT, scored 13 points and Sabrina Ionescu had just five during a brutal shooting night.
