A 35-year-old Long Island man chomped off part of his roommate’s right ear during a vicious brawl on Long Island, cops say.

Suspect Marcus O’Brien also stabbed the 53-year-old victim with a kitchen knife and tried to strangle him in the pair’s Baldwin home, according to authorities.

The bloodshed occurred when the roomies got into a verbal argument early Thursday morning that quickly turned physical, officials said.

“O’Brien struck the victim several times with a closed fist, causing substantial pain, swelling and bruising to the victim,” the Nassau County Police Department said in a statement.

“[He] left the room and came back with a large kitchen knife and stabbed the victim several times, causing deep lacerations to his left shoulder and right arm.”

The victim fought back, causing O’Brien to drop the weapon and place “both his hands around the victim’s neck,” cops said.

“Then he bit the victim’s right ear, causing a large piece to come off,” the statement read.

The injured roommate was able to escape to a neighbor’s home and called police, according to officials.

O’Brien was arrested by Nassau cops.

A Nassau County Police Department spokesman told The Post that a potential motive for the brutal attack could not be provided.

His roommate is hospitalized listed in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, as O’Brien was being escorted by officers to a police car, he became “uncooperative, refused lawful commands and attempted physical force towards the officers,” cops said.

An officer was treated for injuries.

O’Brien was charged with multiple counts of assault, attempted assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, criminal obstruction of breathing/circulation, criminal mischief, harassment and obstructing governmental administration.
