Teams are already lining up to catch a glimpse of the next potential superstar whose last name is James.
At Nike’s Peach Jam, a premier high school tournament in which the nation’s top AAU players get the chance to showcase their skills in front of the basketball world, Bryce James, LeBron James’ youngest son, is already making waves.
Scouts from the Knicks, Lakers, Heat, Suns, Hawks, Mavericks, Cavaliers and Magic all made James a “priority” on Day 1 of games at the tournament, per Yahoo Sports.
James, 16, finished with 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field in the Strive for Greatness team’s win over Expressions, 78-69.
A 6-foot-4 shooting guard whose shooting touch has been lauded by scouts, James drained two threes in the victory.
James’ team is already reaping the benefits of having a superstar NBA father around; LeBron teamed up with Rajon Rondo on Wednesday to coach his son’s squad, and the team is 1-1 in the tournament following a loss to the Florida Rebels on Wednesday.
The NBA superstar was seen drawing up a play and giving instructions to his son’s team in a number of social media videos.

LeBron’s youngest son is also on his way to a new school in California this year.
Bryce will be attending Campbell Hall High School, where he is transferring for his junior season after spending two years at Sierra Canyon, where his older brother Bronny went.
James will be on a team with Richard Hamilton II, the son of former Pistons All-Star Richard Hamilton, at the school in Studio City.
Bronny James, LeBron’s eldest son, recently committed to USC and will be playing for the Trojans starting this fall following an excellent senior year that earned him five-star recruit status.

The USC commit averaged 14 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists during his senior year, and was most recently pegged as a mid-first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
