If Netflix’s Leanne has been making you laugh, get ready for more humor and heart from series star Leanne Morgan.
The streamer announced on Thursday that Morgan’s stand-up special Leanne Morgan: Unspeakable Things will debut on Nov. 4. Directed by Manny Rodriguez, the special the will see Morgan “opening up about everything—from newfound stardom and family life, to trying CBD for the first and last time, serving up the kind of real, relatable, and sometimes cheeky stories you can’t get enough of.”
The upcoming hour marks her second for Netflix following 2023’s Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman. Leanne co-creator Susan McMartin told DECIDER that she was “blown away” by Morgan after watching her 2023 special, as was Morgan’s Leanne co-star, Kristen Johnston.
“I’m not a big stand-up person. And then Chuck Lorre called me, and he was like, ‘Watch her special on Netflix,’ and within five minutes, I was like oh, oh, she’s magic,” Johnston said of Morgan on Live with Kelly and Mark. “She is so brilliant, and she learned how to do it on the sitcom.”
DECIDER contributor Sean L. McCarthy also raved about Morgan’s first Netflix special in his Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman review, writing, “If you’re looking for funny family-friendly stories about having to put up with a spouse and children, or if you’re a woman seeking some inspiration about how to age with grace and humor, then definitely STREAM IT.”
This news arrives about a month following the release of Morgan’s eponymous sitcom, which follows Leanne (Morgan), whose “life takes an unexpected turn when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman.”
Luckily for fans of Morgan’s, there’s even more comedy where that came from. While Leanne has not officially received a Season 2 renewal just yet, Morgan has a third stand-up special is in the works at Netflix.
