Leah Kateb is answering all of our burning questions about what really goes on in the Love Island USA villa.

Appearing on Thursday night’s (July 17) episode of Watch What Happens Live to promote Love Island: Beyond the Villa, the Love Island USA Season 6 star revealed why we rarely see anyone use the pool in the Fijian villa.

“[Producers] literally tell you not to go in the pool sometimes because you have to redo your hair and makeup,” Kateb said. “So, the guys, you see them jumping in all the time. But the girls, you have to go redo your makeup and then they’ll tell you not to go in because it’s gonna take up too much time. But, we try.”

Kateb also warned future Love Island USA prospects about the lack of sleep they’ll get during their six weeks on the hit Peacock dating series.

“Be prepared to get zero hours of sleep,” she said. “They want you to be nasty and agitated. That’s how they get you good.”

Kateb was the center of some of Season 6’s most iconic crash-outs, whether she was losing it over Rob Rausch choosing to couple up with Andrea Carmona over her, or inciting an uproar among the men by later sending Carmona home.

The beloved reality star eventually formed a connection with bombshell Miguel Harichi. The duo came in second place in the finale, and have been dating ever since.

During her time in the Bravo Clubhouse, Kateb offered advice to anyone who wanted to go on Love Island USA, telling them to bring Polaroids since they’re not allowed to look at pictures on their phones, and to stay off of social media when they leave the villa.

“Have fun with it,” she added. “It may feel really serious in the moment, but just have fun and let loose. Nothing’s ever that serious. Truly and honestly, when you think about it in the grand scheme of things, who cares? It’s literally Love Island.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
