Far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert is cashing in on some of lying Long Islander George Santos‘ two cents — and a whole lot more — to help her flagging re-election bid.
The campaign of Boebert (R-Colo.), who swapped districts to run for a third House term this year, received $400 from Santos during the first quarter of this year, according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission.
“Lauren Boebert is by far one of the hardest-working members on Capitol Hill … while struggling to navigate the challenges of life,” Santos, 35, told The Post Monday.
“Is she perfect? No, and neither are you,” he added. “I support strong conservative women like Lauren and I’m proud to do so.”
Santos represented New York’s Third Congressional District for nearly 11 months before he was expelled the GOP-led House this past December in the aftermath of a scathing ethics report alleging he “blatantly stole” from his campaign.
Santos, who is facing a 23-count federal indictment and has admitted to lying about much of his life story, made the donation on March 12, days after he crossed paths with Boebert, 37, at President Biden’s State of the Union address.
The fabulist’s occupation was listed as “self-employed.”
Boebert took in a paltry $462,000 during the three months ending March 31 and has $979,799 cash on hand as she vies to replace former Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) in the Centennial State’s Fourth District.
Over the same period last year, the congresswoman raised $764,000.
Boebert currently serves Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, a seat she held by fewer than 600 votes in 2022.
Earlier this year, she filed to run in the 4th Congressional District, but will not take part in the June 25 special election to determine who will finish Buck’s term. Instead she will seek the nomination in the primary held on the same day.
Boebert grabbed headlines last year after she got booted from a performance of “Beetlejuice” in Denver after audience members complained of her vaping, loudly singing and taking pictures with the flash on. The congresswoman was also recorded groping her date, Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher.
Boebert has also clashed with other Republicans, famously getting into a tiff with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) in a Capitol women’s bathroom last year.
“She makes George Santos look like a saint,” Buck vented to a local Rotary Club last month about his potential successor.
