Actor Lance Reddick called his “John Wick: Chapter 4” co-stars “family” in one of his final interviews before his untimely death.

During a pre-taped sit-down, Reddick — who died suddenly on March 17 at age 60 — shared just how close he was with Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane while working on the movie franchise together.

“You see, with the three of us, it’s not just the family that you’re born into, but the family that you created and how much we really are family,” the “Wire” star said in a clip released Friday on the “Kelly Clarkson Show.”

Reddick has worked on the films with Reeves, 58, and McShane, 80, for nearly ten years, playing the role of Charon — a hotel concierge and old acquaintance of John Wick, played by Reeves — in all four of the Chad Stahelski-directed films.

During the latest film’s premiere on Monday, Reeves expressed his love for his late co-star and their longstanding relationship surrounding the “John Wick” franchise.

“Lance was a beautiful person, a special artist, a man of grace and dignity and such a passion for his craft,” Reeves told Deadline.

The “Matrix” actor said that it was “very special” for him to be able to work with Reddick “over the 10 years and four films,” emotionally adding that “it f–king sucks he’s not here.”

Reeves also honored Reddick on the red carpet by wearing a blue ribbon on his lapel.

TMZ reported that the ribbons — said to be Reddick’s favorite color — were passed out to the cast and crew before the premiere along with a note that read, “We kindly ask you to wear this royal blue ribbon in honor of our dear friend Lance Reddick.”

The highly anticipated film, which hit theaters Friday, was originally set to release in May 2021 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reddick’s body was discovered at his home in Studio City, Calif., on March 17. The actor’s reps confirmed that he passed away from “natural causes.”

In addition to the action franchise, Reddick is best known for his role as police officer Cedric Daniels in the HBO show “The Wire,” as well as other shows such as “Fringe” and “Oz.”
