


Rui Hachimura has re-signed a three-year, $51M extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Athletic reported.
The power forward was expected to stay in purple and gold after the Lakers extended the $7.7 million qualifying offer for the 2023-2024 NBA season, making him a restricted free agent heading into the offseason.
Hachimura joined the Lakers in a mid-season trade from the Wizards in January of last season.
The 6’8″ forward averaged 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds across 33 game appearances for the Lakers.
In the playoffs, Hachimura averaged 12.2 points per game and shot 48.7 percent from beyond the arc.
The Lakers will also acquire free-agent Cam Reddish, who has agreed to a two-year deal, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The small forward averaged 11.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 44.3 percent from the floor and 31.8 percent from deep during his 20-game stint with the Portland Trail Blazers.
