The Issue: Riots in Los Angeles protesting federal immigration raids.

Yet again, Democrats have resorted to violence to achieve their anti-American objectives (“Streets of fury,” June 11).

We are a nation of laws that ensure the safety of our citizens.

However, Democrats consistently encourage violent criminals to enter our country illegally and then organize mobs to wreak havoc on our cities and destroy property to terrorize us.

When will this end?

When we have a civil war?

Peaceful protest is a fundamental right — violent and destructive riots are not.

I strongly encourage my fellow Americans to resolve differences through dialogue and debate, respecting the rule of law, instead of resorting to violence that will bring about our collective ruin.

Michael Pravica

Henderson, Nev.

Protesters are disguising themselves, trespassing and destroying private property.

Yet some are calling them “patriots.”

How shameful: America is better than this.

All protesters should be arrested.

What nauseates me is when the media refers to the angry, criminal rioters in many American cities as “protesters.”

When someone throws bottles, concrete, Molotov cocktails, spits at the police, uses explosives, burns the American Flag and then spits on it and assaults the police, they are now part of the criminal element and should now be referred to as “criminal rioters.”

Look at Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago and Atlanta.

Those images of radical destructive behavior should be burned into all of your gray matter.

Those photos are real images of a society gone mad.

Thank you, New York Post, for covering what is really happening on the streets of Los Angeles.

Everyone should take note that Keffiyeh-clad Hamas supporters were on prominent display at both the LA riots and Manhattan protests.

One may legitimately ask what the Middle East has to do with securing our borders.

The answer is disturbingly simple: It’s not about Israel or illegal immigration, and it never was.

These protesters and, more importantly, their organizers, are systemically attacking all vestiges of US authorities that seek to enforce the rule of law.

Aided and abetted by liberalism run amuck in our schools, universities and mainstream media, these protestors represent a clear and present danger to our national security.

In a sane world, which apparently excludes Democrats, no one would oppose deporting criminal illegal aliens.

You would think that the more criminals we get out of the country, the safer our nation would be.

So what is it with Democrats standing up for these hardened felons?

How can Democrats not see what they’re doing to the fabric of this country?

It’s insane, unconscionable and very dangerous to protest in support of keeping these heinous people here in America.

The LA protests are peaceful, President Biden is as sharp as ever, the border is secured and James Comey had no idea what “86” meant.

How can any American citizen really feel safe under Democratic leadership?

Seeing the smiling faces of demonstrators as they are released on recognizance from the courthouse really irks me.

I get it.

They’ve made their point, but liberal judges will only throw out any charge they are given, wasting taxpayer time and money.

Perhaps a hefty fine that would go toward the cost of dealing with these miscreants would discourage their obnoxious, disruptive behavior.

President Trump advised the gathered crowd on Jan. 6 that if they wanted to protest, to protest peacefully. Democrats were quick to criticize him for not calling for calm quickly enough.

Today, the left criticizes Trump for overstepping with the National Guard.

The double standard is getting old.
