Kyle Richards is prepping fans for an “emotional” new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

While sitting down with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos in Rancho Mirage (where they’re currently filming the show remotely) on Monday’s Live with Kelly and Mark, the reality TV star was asked for the one word she would use to describe RHOBH Season 14, which premieres Nov. 19.

“I’m going to go with emotional, for me,” she replied. “It was a very emotional season for me, definitely.”

Richards admitted that there have been moments that she’s considered not returning to the show, claiming that its upcoming installment “was actually the first time in 14 years that I walked off and I said, ‘I really don’t think I can do this anymore.'”

“I’ve never called in sick, I’ve never not shown up for a shoot or had to cancel an interview. Nothing in 14 years,” she explained. “I really felt like I just didn’t have it in me anymore to deal with some of the ladies coming at me all the time with what I was going through.”

Ripa proposed her own theory as to why Richards was the victim of so much drama with her co-stars.

“I think because you’re the star of the show, and if you attack the star of the show, you become central to the storyline,” she shared. “That’s what I think.”

Richards eventually elaborated further on her experience filming Season 14.

“Some of these people I was on great terms with,” she added. “And then I’m seeing these clips and I’m thinking, you know, in 14 years, whatever is going on with you and me is going to be reflected in my interviews and in my conversations with the other ladies. That wasn’t what I was seeing. Then you kind of feel like, well, who are my friends here?”

Richards highlighted that she “felt, at that point in [her] life, [she] really needed these women to help [her] up.”

“Even though I know, you know, we’re on camera,” she continued. “But like, I needed that. I was struggling. I just felt like I can’t put myself in this situation.”

Richards also shed light on the status of her friendship with fellow cast member Dorit Kemsley, saying, “We’re better than we were when we started the season, but still not the same.”
