Don’t be tardy for the second divorce party. Just over a month after Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann attempted to reconcile their relationship, the former Atlanta Falcons football player filed for divorce again — citing that their marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Biermann is seeking sole legal and physical custody of their four young children as well as child support, alimony and attorney’s fees. He’s also asking for their Georgia residence.

Sources told the outlet that the former reality stars — who documented their lives in eight seasons of the Bravo reality series Don’t Be Tardy — had been fighting for several weeks about money and both blame each other for their financial woes. Following their initial filing earlier this year, it was discovered that they owe more than $1 million to the IRS.

“They’ve gotten ridiculously petty over who hasn’t paid bills,” the source told TMZ. “They’re counting down to pennies.”

According to the insider, things had gotten “nasty” between the two as Biermann often threatened to file for divorce. When he allegedly made the threat again during an argument on Thursday morning (Aug. 24) and Zolciak dared him to do it, he decided to finally pull the plug.

This marks the second time in four months the pair have decided to end their 12-year marriage. In May, they both separately filed for divorce — with Zolciak accusing Biermann of smoking weed and being a threat to their children, while Biermann alleged that Zolciak had a gambling addiction.

Things got ugly between the estranged couple as Zolciak called the cops on her ex-husband after he allegedly accused her friend of “kidnapping their young son.” In a separate instance, authorities responded to a domestic dispute report in which Biermann claimed the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star had punched him in the head during a heated argument over their assets.

At the time, Zolciak’s former RHOA co-star Sheree Whitfield opened up about her friend’s divorce during a June episode of Watch What Happens Live.

“I am in touch with her, and I was shocked. I thought her and Kroy [were] gonna be forever. I’m really sad for them,” Whitfield told Andy Cohen. “I’ve been in contact with her, and she’s not doing well. She’s not doing well. No, she’s taking it really bad.”

Zolciak and Biermann eventually tried to make amends when they filed to “dismiss their petitions for divorce” in early July. A source told People that they were “getting along” and “trying to make it work for the kids.” In the following weeks, they were even spotted attending church as a family.

However, it looks like prayers weren’t enough to save this relationship.
