Tyrese Maxey was the Knicks’ kryptonite in Game 5, with 46 points, <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/04/30/sports/tyrese-maxey-shocks-knicks-with-insane-3-pointer-to-force-game-5-ot/">including seven 3-pointers</a> and a crushing game-tying trey at the end of regulation.

In a bright spot for New York, they managed to hold Joel Embiid to 19 points. 

Jalen Brunson <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/04/30/sports/knicks-have-to-find-way-to-put-this-choke-job-behind-them-and-fast/">shined once again with 40 points</a> — though had some struggles in overtime — and will likely need to carry the Knicks again on Thursday.
