NextImg:Knicks, Klutch Sports ‘hashed out’ issues after Leon Rose-Rich Paul sit-down, removing potential trade obstacle

The Klutch-Knicks Cold War has decidedly warmed up.

Rich Paul met with team president Leon Rose on Friday, a source told The Post, and “things were hashed out” during the sit-down.

The hope is to move forward with a business relationship, per a source.

As the Post previously reported, Klutch previously preferred its clients not join the Knicks.

That included two players who’ve been recently on the trading block, Atlanta’s Dejounte Murray and Chicago’s Zach LaVine.

Paul, one of the most powerful agents in the NBA, has a long list of clients, most notably LeBron James, who faces the Knicks at MSG on Friday.

Despite recent speculation of James leaving the Lakers, Paul told ESPN that the all-time great “will not be traded.”

Still, with the trade deadline approaching, the Knicks have been linked to two Klutch clients — Murray and Portland’s Malcolm Brogdon.

A cooling with Klutch removes a potential obstacle as the surging Knicks, winners of an NBA-high nine straight, build out the roster.

Paul wouldn’t have blocked a deal, but there are potential landmines set if a player’s camp is against a move.

According to a Forbes list from last season, Paul had repped 37 players with $1.36 billion in contracts under management.

The reasons for the impasse were unclear but it’s worth noting that the Knicks are heavily associated with CAA, a rival agency of Klutch.

A source said the beef had nothing to do with Paul’s long-ago partnership with Rose, when they were both agents at CAA.
