Grab your swimsuit, Pierre-Luc Dubois. 

The 25-year-old center was traded from the Winnipeg Jets to the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday in exchange for Alex Iafallo, Rasmus Kupari, Gabriel Vilardi and a 2024 second-round draft pick, the team announced. 

Dubois inked an eight-year, $68 million contract with the Jets before the sign-and-trade was completed.

“Pierre-Luc Dubois is an elite two-way center with a unique skill set, and we’re excited to have him join the organization and commit to us long-term,” Kings general manager and executive vice president Rob Blake said in a statement.

“Over the last few seasons, he has proven the ability to contribute to all facets of the game and we are thrilled to be able to add a player of this caliber into our lineup.”

Dubois is coming off a career season with 63 points (27 goals, 36 assists) in 73 games before he tallied four more points in the postseason.

It was his second consecutive season that he recorded at least 60 points.

Dubois, once the centerpiece in the trade that sent Patrik Laine to the Columbus Blue Jackets, had a murky long-term outlook in Winnipeg after he signed a one-year, $6 million contract last summer. 

The upstart Kings are getting a player in Dubois who was drafted No. 3 overall by the Blue Jackets in 2016, is a strong presence on the power play (82 career power-play points), and has a knack for finding his teammates in creative slots and seams on the ice.

The Quebec native — now on his third NHL team — will join Phillip Danault (54 points in 2022-23) and Anze Kopitar (74 points) as part of a strong center corps as the Kings look for their first Stanley Cup title since the 2013-14 season.

As for the Jets, the 23-year-old Vilardi becomes an intriguing wing option after he scored a career-high 43 points last year.

Iafallo has 204 points in 420 games while Kupari — a 2018 first-round pick — has played in 130 NHL games since the 2020-21 season.
