NextImg:Kindergartener’s confusing homework question has parents stumped

A parent has turned to the internet to ask for help with their child’s homework after they were left stumped by the worksheet.

The parents took to Reddit to share a photo of the worksheet that was based around the letter T.

The homework involved the kindy student writing the capital and lowercase versions of the letter, before figuring out what a word was based on an image.

One image was a bathtub, the other was of the number 10 and a spinning top.

But, the question that left the parent stumped was an image of a family of rabbits.

“Son’s kindergarten school work. What 3-4 letter word is this,” the Reddit user asked the forum.

Many other social media users asserted what they thought the answer could be.

“Has to be pet. These kinds of worksheets try to make the last one more difficult by switching the sound of the letter to the end of the word to try and throw the kid off,” one person said.

Another added: “My kids had rabbits as pets and I still wouldn’t have thought of it from that picture.”

“Yep. As a former teacher I’ve been stumped before, but this one is definitely ‘pet’. Personally, I think it’s confusing and would have gone for ‘cat’,” another said.

Another said: “That’s my complaint. Not one person in a hundred would look at this picture and immediately think ‘pet’.”

One said it could have possibly been “kit”, which is the name used to refer to a baby rabbit but others said the adult rabbit in the photo would have thrown that off.

Another joked: “My 40yr old brain totally wasn’t outsmarted by a kindergarten workbook page … Nope definitely not.”

One person said that they had no idea and added “poor kid”.

“Damn didn’t catch that either. I’m never getting out of pre-k or whatever wizardry this is,” another said.
