Kim Kardashian appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ on Wednesday night, in anticipation of the launch of NikeSkims, her latest fashion collaboration.
Wearing a black latex dress with a plunging neckline and up-to-there slit, she added a matching black choker and platform heels that both harkened back to early-aughts trends.
But the real reveal of the evening was her rarely seen lip tattoo, which she flashed to the cameras after being asked about the story behind the ink.
Prefacing his question with “we don’t have to air this,” Fallon asked if it was true that Kardashian got a tattoo after hosting ‘Saturday Night Live.’ (Clearly, he isn’t an avid watcher of ‘The Kardashians,’ as she shared the secret tattoo on an episode of the show back in 2023).
The tattoo is an infinity symbol, which she got alongside all of her friends who came to support her at ‘SNL.’ While to the public, it seemed like a celebration of her hosting accomplishment, it also marked the night of her first kiss with ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson, adding another dimension of sentimentality.
Although Davidson and Kardashian’s nine-month relationship ended in August 2022, the hidden tattoo remains.
Kardashian was well-known for her aversion to tattoos, often quoted as saying,“You don’t put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.” But that night, she rode the high of her Davidson kiss right into the tattoo artist’s chair.
With Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner waiting in the wings in coordinated NikeSkims looks, Kim discussed not only the upcoming launch but also being set up on blind dates, her new Ryan Murphy show ‘All’s Fair,’ and an Eva Longoria comedy in the works called ‘The Fifth Wheel.’
Given all that on her plate, the infinity symbol seems like a continuously apt choice.
