Kerry Washington got censored on The View during an impassioned rant about one of the many “handsome” men she cast in her upcoming action blockbuster, Shadow Force.
Washington and the ladies of The View did not try to hide how attractive they found her Shadow Force co-stars, Omar Sy and Method Man. Sy, who was joining Washington on the show, reveled in the attention, but he and Washington both had generous praise to share for Method Man, who plays a spy in the movie.
Sunny Hostin did not mince her words when she slyly asked Washington, “Why is Method Man aging like a fine wine?”
Washington completely agreed, adding, “He’s incredible. He gets more and more handsome and he’s so good in this film.” Later, after Sara Haines asked if they were “starstruck” at all when working with the former rapper on the film, Washington gushed, “If you told my 14-year-old self that I would be in a film with Method Man and I got to tell him to F off, I would be like no way, no way!”
Washington’s comment was censored on the air, despite the fact that she did not appear to swear on the show.

However, Joy Behar caught the comment as she threw it to commercial. “She’s a spunky one, that one,” she said of Washington.
Washington is a producer for the new spy thriller. Shadow Force, which is playing now in theaters, stars Washington and Sy as a separated couple who must go on the run with their son when a unit of shadow agents set out to kill them.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Mark Strong also star in the film.
As a producer on the film, Washington explained on The View that a lot of thought went into which actor should play her romantic interest and co-lead in the film, which she said was an “exciting” part of the process.
The actress admitted that it was a joint decision between her and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, to approach Sy with the role. She also shared the “embarrassing” story of how she got him to agree: By sliding into his DMs.
“With my husband’s permission!” she added.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
