A Kentucky reporter says he thought he was going to die after a massive tornado blew his Jeep off the road in Tennessee.

‘I truly believed I was going to die at the moment my car was picked up and tossed off the road by this massive tornado in Tennessee,” tweeted independent reporter Nick Sortor late Friday night, along with photos showing his face bloodied and his vehicle totaled.

Sortor barely escaped the killer storm that ripped through parts of the South and Midwest Friday into Saturday and is already blamed for the death of at least 11 people and injuring dozens of others.

Sorter said the massive tornado left him bloodied late Friday.

In response to kind words he received on Twitter wishing him well, he also said: “I truly appreciate everyone’s words of support. It means more than you know.”

“I attempted to post this immediately after the tornado to serve as a dire warning, but I was unable. My Jeep is totaled, but that’s nothing compared to the lives ruined here,” he added.
