Kelly Stafford’s podcast has looked different in recent weeks.
Stafford spoke on Friday’s episode of “The Morning After” podcast about the accusations against her co-host, Hank Winchester, who had his home raided in June in relation to a sexual misconduct investigation.
“I know that ‘TMA’ has looked a little differently over the last few weeks,” Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, said. “Summer is a lot for all of us. I’ve been traveling a bunch. Hank is dealing with some personal stuff. Bear with us there.”
Winchester has only made a few select appearances on the show since the allegations hit, rather than his typical role as co-host of the weekly episodes.
On June 13, a search warrant was executed at Winchester’s residence and electronics were seized after he was accused of making sexual advances during a massage, per Fox 2 Detroit.
Winchester has reportedly been studying massage therapy.
Winchester is a longtime reporter for WDIV Local 4 in Detroit. He has been on administrative leave from the station since June 18 while the investigation is ongoing.
“Hank has spent decades bringing truth to our community and fighting for our citizens,” a statement from Winchester’s attorney, Todd Flood, read. “Because he holds a high-profile position in our community, that can at times generate false accusations. This investigation will end where it began — nowhere.”
Winchester joined Stafford’s podcast in 2023 after they met during Matthew’s 11-year stint as the Detroit Lions’ quarterback from 2009 to 2020. Matthew was traded to the Rams in early 2021.
Stafford has been regularly joined by Matthew this offseason on the podcast through Winchester’s absence.
Stafford hinted Friday that Winchester may return to the show soon.
“The NFL season is just around the corner,” she said. “Soon you will be getting plenty of us, I’m sure. It’s all a lot.”
