NextImg:Kelly Ripa Teases Sex in Space With Mark Consuelos “Could Be Fun” on ‘Live’: “Does a Bounce House Count?”

The “Big Bang” is getting a whole new meaning after this morning’s pre-taped episode of Live with Kelly and Mark.

During the opening chat, co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos continued their NSFW conversations by discussing the importance of practicing sex in space. According to an article they had handy at the table, there’s even “urgent research” going into the subject.

“NASA doesn’t doesn’t explicitly ban you-know-what in outer space but they’re saying it hasn’t been done in outer space,” Ripa explained. “Now, I’m saying, I’ve seen Star Trek. They have intergalactic escapades — sexcapades. What is that space station for? What are they doing? They’re always tinkering around.”

After agreeing that those Star Trek characters definitely “get freaky up there,” Consuelos wondered if having “zero gravity” would be a concern when it comes to getting down and dirty. However, he soon let his own freaky side take over his perception.

“I can see that being a good thing sometimes,” he speculated, before Ripa echoed, “Yeah! That could be fun. Does a bounce house count?”

All banter aside, executive producer Michael Gelman informed the longtime married couple that there could be “medical issues” that would serve as a roadblock to doing it in space — hence why scientists are conducting “urgent research.”

This isn’t the first raunchy convo Consuelos and Ripa have had this week. On Tuesday morning’s (Aug. 29) episode of Live, the longtime host revealed the awkward way in which she found out her husband had hired “three housekeepers.” At the time, he was living alone in Vancouver while filming Riverdale.

“I met the housekeepers. Do you want to know how I learned about the housekeepers?” she asked the audience. “I walked out of the bedroom naked. That’s right! I said it. Naked! And that’s when I met the housekeepers — one of which was a guy. So I think he learned his lesson — to announce himself before he enters.”

Never change, Kelly and Mark.
