Kelly Ripa is counting down the days until she doesn’t have to share a bathroom with Mark Consuelos — but the new living situation will come at a grim cost.

On this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly & Mark, Consuelos was shocked to learn that his wife will statistically live longer than him. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), men live an average of 73 years, while women live an average of 79 years.

“I think we discussed this. Like, if you go, you said you’re taking me with you regardless,” Consuelos said, to which Ripa replied, “You mean I’m gonna entomb you with me? I don’t believe that’s what I said. I believe I said, ‘When you go, I will be sad.'”

The Riverdale alum clarified that when his wife dies, she’s going to bring him with her her “in the box.” However, Ripa — who was confused about why her husband thought she would go before him — pointed out that, according to statistics, she will “outlive” him “by a lot.”

“Oh yeah? Is that true? You know I’m very competitive,” a pensive Consuelos said, before Ripa added, “I know that you are. But I’m just talking about what I’m witnessing so far in terms of us falling apart. I think that you are disintegrating at a faster pace than I am. And I’m willing to medical intervene in a way that you are not.”

While Consuelos joked he’s going to have to “double up” on acupuncture to keep himself healthy, Ripa playfully admitted to one thing she’s excited to get back once her husband kicks the bucket.

“Also, I look forward to someday having my own bathroom,” she quipped.

When the actor suggested that he move back to Vancouver — which is where he lived while filming Riverdale — Ripa told him it wouldn’t be necessary.

“Don’t live in Vancouver. Live here. Just know that one day I will enjoy my own bathroom. Come hell or high water,” she said, to which Consuelos uneasily replied, “Alright. Indeed.”
