Amid their return from Thanksgiving weekend, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos talked food and football during their host chat on this morning’s Live with Kelly and Mark.
With respect to the latter, Consuelos discussed the University of Michigan’s Saturday afternoon (Nov. 25) victory over the Ohio State University Buckeyes, and the Philadelphia Eagles’ win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday (Nov. 26), prior to moving onto the New York Giants defeating the New England Patriots 10-7. Although he deemed Sunday’s match-up an “ugly game,” he talked up the G-Men’s quarterback, Tommy DeVito.
“And this kid DeVito keeps winning from the New York Giants! They keep winning,” Consuelos exclaimed, eventually referring to DeVito as “the guy that lives with his mom.”
While he noted that “it’s not really in their best interest” for the Giants to continue winning because “they’ve dropped down to the sixth pick” in the NFL draft, he reiterated that he’s “happy for Tommy DeVito.”
Ripa chimed in, “I am too! And it goes to show the power of living with your parents. You know, he’s not worried about laundry, his meals — that stuff is being done for him, so there is something to be said.”

She continued, “Having said that, I was very excited when everyone got on the plane last night to get home.”
Consuelos noted, “But being the quarterback of the New York Giants [and] living with your mom. It might throw a wrinkle into your dating life just a little bit.”
Ripa asked Consuelos, “Why do you say that?”
Consuelos clarified, “You know, you’re the quarterback, you win, you go out and have a good time. Maybe you meet someone. What’s happening?”
Ripa suggested, “You go back to her place.”
“Right? I mean, that’s how I would do it,” she quipped.
