Live with Kelly and Mark had some girl power on Tuesday morning!

Kelly Ripa had a zinger for Mark Consuelos as he began to read aloud “the four ways women are physically stronger than men” during their host chat.

“Only the four?” she quipped, earning herself a round of applause from the studio audience.

After Consuelos named “pain tolerance” as the first item on the list, he joked, “I don’t know, but if you’ve ever had toe pain, that’s really painful. They say it’s like childbirth.”

Ripa chimed back in to put Consuelos in his place.

“Please Lord, let him have one menstrual cramp,” she teased. “Just one. Just one. And then we’ll back in the ambulance. The ambulance will come in.”

Jokes aside, Consuelos continued reading that “women have stronger immune systems due to the power of estrogen,” in addition to higher body “resilience” and “longevity.”

“With rare exceptions, no matter the species or culture — no matter the species or culture! ‚— women live longer,” he added, seemingly surprised. “Wow.”

Ripa replied, “Yeah, we have to. We have no choice. We gotta keep the show running.”

Consuelos also read that “men tend to take more risks that can kill them,” though reasons for women’s higher longevity rates are “also biological,” as “women tend to survive disease, starvation, and injury at higher rates than men do.”

“Ugh, we’re screwed,” he teased. “Guys, it’s all happening right before us.”
