People may be getting sick of thirst traps — but not when it comes to Mark Consuelos.
On this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa shut down a recent study claiming more than half of people are over seeing vacation thirst traps. According to her, she can prove otherwise — likely thanks to the comments section under the risqué photos she posts of her hunky husband.
“This article says that more than 55% of people are tired of seeing vacation thirst traps,” Consuelos explained, to which Ripa replied, “You mean, like, pictures I take of you shirtless? I have the likes to prove otherwise. I would say that’s sitting in the pocket of what people want to see.”
When a photo of a chiseled Consuelos in front of some palm trees appeared on the screen, he told his wife, “You may be right.” Still, he added that he enjoys seeing the “beautiful places” people travel to — something Ripa agreed with.
“Those videos of whatever it is — and I don’t know any of these accounts but somehow they work their way into my feed — but that pulls me through October, November, December, January, February,” she said. “Like, that gets me through.”
It’s no secret that Live viewers gawk over Consuelos. Just a week after leaving fans weak at the knees over his half-naked cold plunge, the Riverdale alum disappointed millions by saying he’d only go shirtless “maybe twice a year” out of fear that an overabundance of content surrounding his ripped body “might get a little mundane.”
His body aside, Consuelos — who has been married to Ripa for 27 years — adorably proved his romantic side on today’s episode of Live when he gave the audience some long-term relationship advice.
“When you’re looking for a mate, young people out there, find someone you can dream with,” he said. “Since we were 24, 25 years old, working on a soap [opera], without the resources to do all these crazy extravagant things, we would take long walks on the beach and we would talk about where we wanted to end up someday. And we still do that.”
